Introduction

In an intriguing experiment, I’m conducting a test to understand the TikTok algorithm's response to different content strategies. The focus of this test revolves around mentioning the names of competing social media platforms in my video. I aim to uncover whether saying the names of other media out loud will lead to my post being suppressed on the For You Page (FYP), or if it will perform similarly to videos where such mentions are avoided.

To carry out this experiment, I will post two separate videos. In one video, I will explicitly say the names of several popular platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. In the second video, I will refrain from mentioning any media names.

My primary goal is to see how the TikTok algorithm reacts to these two different approaches, and I plan to share my findings with all of you.

Stay tuned for updates on the results of this experiment, as it could provide valuable insights for everyone looking to better understand the intricacies of the TikTok algorithm.
