The new Recraft model is better than anything else! Recraft V3
Education
Introduction
Welcome back to my channel! Today, I’m excited to introduce you to my favorite text-to-image AI generation tool, the Recraft V3. I’ll be showcasing this new model and discussing its outstanding features and capabilities.
Currently, Recraft V3 ranks at the top of the artificial analysis leaderboard. This leaderboard evaluates the latest AI-generated images by showing them to random individuals who compare them to images created by humans. Recraft V3 has achieved the highest scores, with most viewers believing the images were not generated by an AI. Previously, the top spot was held by the Flux 1.0 and 1.1 models from Black Forest Labs.

Features of Recraft V3
Let’s start with some important updates about Recraft. Previously, the tool was completely free, but now it offers paid plans. Users receive 50 daily credits, allowing for 50 image generations per day, which is quite generous. However, all generated images are public, and basic users can only generate a maximum of two images per prompt.
The basic plan starts at $ 10 per month and includes features such as:
- 1,000 monthly credits, which may seem less than the free daily credits (1,500 monthly), yet it allows for private image settings and full ownership rights for any generated images.
- A creative upscale tool, priority image generation, and up to four images per prompt. The ability to top up with additional credits is also available.
If you're new to Recraft, signing up through my special link will grant you an additional 200 credits, while I'll also receive 500 credits. It’s a great win-win scenario!
Starting Image Generation
Now let’s explore Recraft V3. We can choose a new project and pick between image frame, image set, and mockup. The image frame and mockup features are particularly impressive. In this demo, I’ll focus on image generation.
As a personal preference, I usually create only one image per prompt, but the option for up to two images per generation remains. The platform also offers various models to choose from, including photo realism, vector art, and even pixel art.
Upon generating an image, I was astounded by the realism. The skin tones were accurate, which is not often found in other AI tools where images tend to have overly perfected aesthetics. This level of realism may be one reason Recraft V3 currently sits atop the leaderboard.
Challenges with Image Generation
A common challenge with AI image generators is accurately producing limbs, especially hands and fingers. Many tools struggle to depict realistic hands. However, I demonstrated this by generating an image of hands holding a Rubik's Cube, and the fingers appeared accurately with the right number displayed.
Another interesting feature is the ‘frame’ tool, which allows users to expand images creatively. Unlike other tools, the edges of expanded images were seamlessly blended, making it look natural.
While generating text in images also poses a challenge, Recraft V3 performed well in my experiments. The tool produced correctly spelled text, which is often a struggle for AI generation tools.
Exploring Mockups
The mockup feature is equally entertaining, allowing users to create product packaging images using their designs. After generating a colorful coffee brand logo, I moved on to create a silver coffee bag mockup, which allows flexibility in design and customization.
The user interface has a learning curve, but the capabilities are abundant. Features include color adjustments, background removals, and the ability to convert images into vector formats—pending premium access.
Overall, Recraft V3 impressively combines quality image generation with usability features that make it a worthwhile tool for artists and marketers alike.
