Hi! Today, I'm going to teach you how to create a video with just your manuscript using a powerful AI tool known as VideoGen. This platform can turn text into a professional video in less than 5 to 7 minutes. I am Sylvester, and I welcome you to the Digital Librarian channel. Let's dive right in!

First, you need to open the AI app, which is web-based, called VideoGen. To do this, simply go to Google and type "VideoGen" and hit enter. The most likely first result should be "VideoGen.io" – that's the correct app. After clicking on it, you'll see the AI platform that uses text to generate professional videos with just one click. You can scroll down to learn more about this AI tool. Click on "Get Started for Free" to begin.

I'm walking you through the process from scratch, so this might take a bit longer. Once you click "Get Started for Free," you'll be prompted to sign up. If you already have an email, you can type it in to sign in, but you can also continue with Google. For this example, I'll continue with a Google account, which requires no form filling. Once you're signed in, you'll see the main environment of VideoGen.

To create a video, click on "Generate Video." Since my focus today is on creating a video, we won't delve into other functions of the website. So, click on "Generate Video," and you'll be asked to create a script for the AI voice-over. I already have a script prepared, so I'll copy and paste my script here. You can also let the AI generate a script for you, but I prefer to start from scratch for better clarity.

Next, click on "Start a Blank Video" to begin from scratch. You'll be taken to an environment where you have five main options to customize your video:

1. Text: Enter the text that the AI will narrate.
2. Background: Choose the appropriate visuals. The AI will source these from stock media online.
3. Music: Select copyright-free music. Most soundtracks are free to use on YouTube. Although you can upload your own voice or preferred soundtrack, this feature requires a pro subscription.
4. Voice: Choose the narrator's voice. Options include male and female voices.
5. Captions: Customize the captions' appearance.

For this tutorial, I'll use a pre-written script that describes how I created a testimonial video in less than 7 minutes using VideoGen. After pasting the text, I set the background to medium. I chose an inspiring soundtrack named "Limitless Dreams." I selected Sophia's voice for the narration and set the captions to blue with a large size.

Once you’ve customized the preferences, click on "Generate Video." The AI will take a moment to process, sourcing stock images and videos matching your script. Here's a brief look at the final video:
