Introduction

Hey, what's up? Andrew Kramer here, and welcome to an exciting release for Pro Presets 2. Now, what is Pro Presets 2, you ask? Essentially, it's an expansion pack for our popular lens flare plug-in, Optical Flares, which is available at VideoCopilot.net. To provide even greater control, we've created this expansion pack, Pro Presets 2, which includes 50 all-new presets, some templates, a fantastic font, and a bunch of really cool tutorials.

Let's jump in and show you what we're talking about. I'm in After Effects with the Optical Flares plug-in applied to a layer, creating some cool lens flares. If we go to the options, we can see the preset browser. Down here, we have the Pro Presets 2 collection, featuring all 50 presets, with some amazing and varied options. For example, we've got an Arctic kind of lens flare, inspired by the atmosphere and the crystallization of ice, and some really organic-looking anamorphic flares. We take advantage of texture elements to show a lot of fine details and dynamic triggering.

One preset, called Illuminati, has a cool spectral color effect. There are many more, including ones based on real lens flares such as the Tron lens flare, and various subtle and intense designs. With over 50 presets available, you can mix and match them to create some incredible visual effects and motion graphics.

But that’s not all. To get you started, we’ve included 10 cool templates, ranging from subtle to intense designs using lens flares. These templates are After Effects project files compatible with CS3, CS4, and CS5. Furthermore, we've worked out a deal with Amateurr Media to include an amazing commercial font family called Typograph Pro, featuring seven fonts. This is an excellent deal since purchasing Pro Presets 2 costs less than buying these fonts separately.

Finally, there's an array of training videos to help you get the most out of Optical Flares. Whether you want to utilize lens flares subtly or create abstract, flashy effects, these tutorials will help you push the limits of this product.
