Videoleap | 5 Next Level Editing App Tutorials
Howto & Style
Introduction
Hey everyone! Today, I have five Videoleap tutorials designed to take your edits to the next level. If you're looking for a basic starter tutorial on Videoleap, this might not be the video for you. Instead, I'll link to a basic starter tutorial down in the description box. However, if you're more advanced and eager to enhance your edits, you're in the right place.
I'll be doing everything on my iPad Pro. If you're considering a new tablet, I highly recommend this one. I'll drop a link in the description box. While I'm using the iPad, remember that you can also follow along using the phone app.
Text Shake Effect
- Add Media: Start by adding media to the Videoleap project. Select the clip with two people running on the beach.
- Add Text Overlay: Insert a text overlay and customize the font, color, and add a drop shadow.
- Add Animation: Select 'Animation' and choose 'In', then pick the 'Bounce' animation.
- Apply Shake Effect: Select the main clip, go to 'Effects', and choose the 'Shake' effect. Adjust duration and timing so the shake coincides with the text bounce.
Background Black and White, Subject in Color
- Duplicate Clip: Begin with the clip from before and duplicate it.
- Cutout Option: Use the 'Cutout' feature on the duplicate clip to isolate the subjects.
- Desaturate Background: For the original clip, reduce 'Saturation' under 'Adjustments' to make it black and white.
- Overlay Duplication: Overlay the duplicate clip on top of the original so that subjects remain in full color over a black and white background.
Custom Text Animation with Keyframes
- Prepare Text: Start with the clip and add a layer of text using the 'Open Sans' font.
- Apply Keyframes: Using the 'Spacing' option under 'Characters', set the value to 100 at the beginning, then 0 further in the timeline.
- Animate Text: Use keyframes to animate the text spacing.
- Polish Animation: Add an 'In' animation with a 'Fade In' effect for a polished look.
Text Behind Subject Effect
- Tracking Text: Start with the text tracking effect from the previous tutorial.
- Duplicate Clip: Duplicate the clip and use the 'Cutout' option.
- Overlay and Arrange Layers: Overlay the duplicate on the original and place the text layer behind the cutout subjects.
Adding Free Music from YouTube Studio
- Open Chrome: Use the Chrome app to search for YouTube Studio.
- Use Desktop Version: Open the desktop version in a new tab.
- Download Tracks: Preview and download free tracks from YouTube Studio.
- Import to Videoleap: Ensure the project is open, click 'Open In', then select Videoleap to add the music track directly to your timeline.
In summary, these five Videoleap tutorials cover advanced techniques to refine and elevate your video edits. Let me know if you found this tutorial helpful and if you'd like more Videoleap content. Thanks for spending your time with me, and I'll see you with more tutorials soon.
