We set off to compare the voice isolation feature in DaVinci Resolve against the one in Adobe. For our test location, we chose BrewDog in Manchester—a bustling venue with plenty of background noise, making it the perfect environment to evaluate these features.
Upon arrival at BrewDog, amidst a lively atmosphere filled with music and chatter, we ordered some delicious food: burgers, buffalo chicken, and pork—all highly recommended. It’s also important to clarify—the 'Brew' in BrewDog definitely means beer, not tea!
To begin our test, we recorded our conversation with all the background noise intact. This provided a baseline to evaluate the efficiency of the voice isolation features.
We started by enabling Adobe's voice isolation. Immediately, we observed a difference. While munching on a chip, we checked to see if our vocals were clearer and if the background noise had diminished.
Next, we switched off Adobe's feature and activated DaVinci Resolve’s voice isolation. Based on preconceptions, we anticipated DaVinci Resolve might be superior, though we made sure to remain impartial in our testing. Again, amidst the loud music and the lively environment, we performed our 'chip test' to see how well it filtered out the background noise.
After deactivating both features and listening to the recordings, we could draw our conclusions. We invite our viewers to let us know which software they think performed better in the comments section.
Thank you for watching, and we hope to see you in the next video.
