You’ll NEVER guess how #aiavatars are created ?
Today, we're taking you behind the scenes to show you how AI avatars are created at Synthesia. Join me as I follow Gabe Stern, our legal counsel, through his fascinating journey to become an AI avatar for Synthesia's Studio platform.
Step 1: Voice Cloning
Before Gabe can get his avatar created, his voice needs to be cloned. Within the Synthesia Studio, he's recording multiple lines of dialogue. This step ensures that his avatar will have a natural and authentic voice. Want to try this yourself? Just go to the "voices" section in the Synthesia Studio.
Step 2: The Preparation
Before stepping in front of the camera, Gabe undergoes a quick makeup session. This preparation ensures he looks his best for his first-ever avatar shoot.
Step 3: The Avatar Shoot
Gabe's shoot begins with him reading off a teleprompter, which displays a script for him to follow. He also performs various head and eye tracking movements, followed by a few hand gestures. These actions contribute to making his avatar appear incredibly lifelike.
The Experience
In Gabe's own words: "That was so much fun! Green screens, cameras, directors, lights, and hair and makeup—I’ve never been a part of that, so it was fun."
And that wraps up Gabe's avatar creation journey at Synthesia. Let us know in the comments if you want to see more behind-the-scenes content.
