YouTube Monetization in Pakistan in 2024 | Updates

Hello everyone, Tanveer Askar here, and welcome to Technical Tanveer on YouTube. As you may know, this video is coming out after a four-day break. I have been in my village, and the absence of my videos was due to the tiring process of traveling for two days and then settling into a new place.

You may have seen the thumbnail and are wondering if it's clickbait, but I assure you, it's not. Let me share a small story to help explain my point. I arrived at my village on the 14th via car, traveling from Karachi. On the 12th or 13th, an AdSense issue came up. I decided to resolve it through YouTube's live chat support. During the discussion, the representative asked for 5 to 8 minutes to check the issue. After the waiting period, he informed me that the issue was due to my location, which he said was not eligible for AdSense approval.

I mentioned to him that I was based in Pakistan, which I knew to be an eligible country for YouTube monetization. However, the YouTube support representative insisted that Pakistan was not on the list of eligible countries, even providing a link as evidence. Upon checking this link, I found that Pakistan's name was indeed missing. This was puzzling, given that I knew Pakistan to be eligible.

The support representative insisted that Pakistan was eligible in the past but is not anymore. He even showed me screenshots to support his claim. I decided to look into it further and realized that the link provided was outdated information regarding YouTube's update, which necessitated 2,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of watch time for monetization. This list never included Pakistan to begin with.

Frustrated, I asked to speak with a supervisor, which the representative was initially reluctant to arrange. After much debate, the supervisor came onto the call, reviewed our previous chat, and admitted the mistake and confusion from the earlier representative. I am sharing this story because many people call me about similar issues and are often misled by incorrect information from YouTube support.

Monetization in Pakistan is still active. If YouTube support informs you otherwise, they are likely referencing outdated or incorrect information. Rest assured, Pakistan remains on the list of eligible countries for YouTube monetization. Share this information within your community to prevent further confusion.
