Why I don’t script my videos
Travel & Events
Introduction
The majority of the time, I receive amazing compliments on my storytelling style, for which I am truly grateful. However, there are occasions when I am advised to write a script for my content. While it is true that I do not use a script most of the time, except for extensive documentaries, this is a deliberate choice on my part. I am drawn to extemporaneous storytelling, which means narrating without the reliance on scripts or notes. I intentionally steer clear of scripted content as I personally find it uninteresting. In an era where many creators heavily script their videos or heavily rely on jump cuts, I prefer the spontaneity and excitement of storytelling without a script. While I do edit my stories, I thrive on the impromptu nature of storytelling, finding it more engaging and invigorating.
