My TikTok Journey

I created a brand-new TikTok account on September 16 and since then, I have been implementing all the strategies that I discussed in the previous videos. Today, I’ll provide an update on my progress, including how much money I’ve made, how many clicks I’ve received on my affiliate links, and sharing my experience so far.

Affiliate Marketing on TikTok

You might wonder, "Can I really make money on TikTok with just 1,000 followers?" The answer is yes! If you're promoting your affiliate product effectively, you don’t necessarily need to have a huge following to start making sales. You could potentially begin monetizing your account with even fewer followers, provided your product offers value to your audience.

Currently, I’m using ClickBank for this case study. Of course, to monitor my results, I’m employing Bitly, a URL shortening service that makes sharing long affiliate links more manageable. While Shorts are great, it’s important that if your content resonates with your audience, they may be inclined to type out your Bitly link—if it’s convenient for them.

Progress So Far

As of September 28, it has been about 12 days since I started my TikTok account, during which I posted approximately 12 videos on my first day. Since then, I’ve been posting around three to five videos daily, although I recognize that this figure could be higher.

So far, here’s what I’ve accomplished:

• Link Clicks: I received three link clicks in total—two on the first day and one the following day. No further clicks have occurred since then.
• Sales: As of now, I haven’t made any sales.

While it’s disheartening not to have earned any commissions just yet, I believe that consistency and building trust with my audience is key. People often require multiple exposures (an estimated 11 or 12 times) to a product before feeling compelled to make a purchase.

Insights and Moving Forward

Creating rapport with your audience is essential. As I continue to post quality content regularly, I’m hopeful that I will start seeing conversions in the future. It’s important to recognize that the time it takes to make a sale depending largely upon the demand for the product you’re promoting.
