To illustrate the benefits, imagine you as an employee having issues with your payroll, such as night shifts not reflecting in your pay slip. Without HRSD, resolving such issues involves contacting your HR, who may then defer you to the IT team, and everything happens over disconnected channels like email, creating a lack of documentation and transparency. HRSD endeavors to resolve these challenges by providing a centralized repository within ServiceNow, where issues are documented, processed within specific timelines, and all related activities are tracked transparently.
Procedure:
Once the plugins are activated, navigate to HRSD modules in the ServiceNow left navigation. You’ll see modules relating to HR case management, HR Administration, HR Integrations and so forth.
HRSD helps organize HR data and services into disciplinarily categorized centers of excellence (CoEs). A CoE is essentially a table extending HR case data model, handling parts like payroll, employee relationship, and more. Each CoE can have categories and subcategories which break down data for more organized reporting and task management.
You can create HR cases via the ServiceNow HR Agent Workspace or the Employee Service Center. Roles permitting, an HR professional or the employee could raise HR cases for issues like payroll directly.

HRSD supports bulk creation for scenarios such as annual re-certification, leveraging user files or applying conditions to automate multiple case creations at once.
