Accessibility: The Xanadu release has made significant strides in accessibility. The Builders and charts are now WCAG 2.1 compliant, enhancing usability for visually impaired users. Users can zoom up to 400% without losing functionality or content, particularly impacting dashboard layouts and charts positively.
Performance Improvements: Caching enhancements are also a key focus. Users can now leverage caching for indicator-based data visualizations in addition to table-based ones, optimizing performance when immediate data isn't critical. Auto-refresh logic is implemented for cached data after a set period, improving data responsiveness.
Enhanced Data Visualizations and Dashboards: The release introduces various user-friendly enhancements and new capabilities. Noteworthy additions include an auto-resizing feature for single scores, toggle options for data tables, improved color selection for visualizations, enhanced time-series visualizations, and more versatile filtering capabilities.
Innovation: Building on proactive analytics insights, Xanadu introduces new notifications and filtering options directly from data visualizations. This paves the way for better automated process mining insights and data visualization generation features.
Migration Updates: For those transitioning from previous versions, the migration capabilities have expanded. Users can now migrate pivot charts, indicator scorecards, and maintain existing configurations, ensuring a smoother transition to the new analytics environment.
The presenters delve into specific enhancements through a demonstration showcasing the above themes in action. They illustrate accessibility features, performance improvements, new usability enhancements for dashboards, and innovative functionalities that augment the user experience in real-time.
The session concludes with a Q&A to address participant queries. Attendees are encouraged to engage with the developing community, leveraging platform analytics content for continual learning. Upcoming sessions will further explore analytics generation, providing hands-on insights into this exciting new feature.
