It's time to give baby solids but where do you start??? My top 3 favorite foods to start baby off with are avocados, bananas, and yogurt! The texture is great to let them explore and each are nutrient rich! The bananas and avocados are soft enough for them to shove in their mouth without choking yet firm enough to grab and work on those fine motor skills! My favorite yogurt to start with is @stonyfield YoBaby yogurt! In regards to how often you should feed them solids. It's important to note that most of their nutrition is still coming from breastmilk or formula at 6 months old. I will introduce solids after I breastfeed. I start with once a day then after a few weeks I start introducing it twice a day. I really follow my baby's lead when it comes to solids. How much are they eating of it? Are they curious? Do they seem really interested in eating solids? As they get older, I start to replace one breastfeeding session with solids then gradually go from there!
