I Made A Movie Poster From This Random Design Idea Generator #shorts #graphicdesign #digitalart

    Introduction

Creating a unique design can sometimes be a challenge, but using a random idea generator can spark some exciting creativity. In my latest project, I decided to use a random design idea generator to guide my artistic process, and this is how it all unfolded.

To kick things off, I made a list of various elements I like in design styles and final products. Once I had my list, it was time to roll the dice and see what I would be working with. The first roll gave me "Jim." Next, I rolled and landed on "oh," which was a bit vague. But my final roll gave me "poster." With these key terms in mind, I dove into the design process.

I started by seeking inspiration, looking up a bunch of buff, naked individuals for reference. I stumbled upon some scrumptious-looking bread rolls, which also sparked some ideas. For the character design, I wanted to channel the essence of Goku, a beloved character known for his distinctive hairstyle and muscular build. However, feeling a bit lazy, I opted for a simplified version—giving my character a "top G" haircut instead.

Once I had my character sketched out, I pulled the design into Illustrator for line art. Let me tell you; it was not an easy task, as I struggled a bit during this part of the process. After finalizing the line art, I proceeded to add some bold bass colors, incorporating highlights and shadows to give the character more depth. Of course, I couldn't forget to include a big black barbell, adding an extra layer to the workout vibe of the poster.

With the art direction solidified, I moved over to Photoshop to refine the design, where I went all out adding intricate details—way more than I initially intended. The outcome was a well-crafted representation that perfectly encapsulated the randomness of the initial idea while bringing together elements I love.

And just like that, I had created a vibrant movie poster inspired by a random design idea generator! If you found this journey interesting, make sure to subscribe for more content like this.
