❤️NEW! CHANEL❤️ ROSE RADIAN Vs. BEIGE ÉCLATANT REVIEW & GRWM ❤️

    blog thumbnail

    Introduction

Welcome! Today, we're diving into a comparison of two new blushes from Chanel: the Rose Radiante and Beige Éclatant. These shades were among the first I considered for my medium skin tone due to their versatility. I’ll also include a Get Ready With Me segment featuring some of my Chanel favorites. Let's get started!

    Primer Application

To kick things off, I decided to try two different primers side by side. I previously talked about these, so I thought it might be insightful for you.

    • On my left side, I applied the Illuminating Primer, which has slight shimmering particles that help to blur imperfections while adding a radiant glow. The formula has a peach undertone, giving it a subtle warmth.

    • On my right side, I used the Mattifying Primer. This product focuses on reducing shine and creating a smooth, matte finish.

Both primers have distinct features, so your choice would depend on your personal skin preference.

    Base Makeup

Next, I reached for the Chanel Concealer in shade 40 to let the primer set. I haven’t used this concealer in a while, but it works beautifully with the foundation I planned to use today.

For foundation, I chose the Chanel BD 41, known for its natural finish and excellent coverage. It has a second-skin quality, which makes application a breeze. I used a Merit Foundation Brush to achieve an even layer.

Interesting note: The Chanel foundation shades follow a coding system where BD denotes warm tones, B is for neutral, and BR features cooler tones.

After applying the foundation, I noticed that it offers excellent wear time, especially for long days at work—a favorite among many of you! The application was effortless, and I only added a little more where needed to cover dark spots.

Next, I did a bit of creative color correcting using a NARS peach-toned eyeshadow for any areas that appeared dull. This technique is particularly effective on the chin and across the nose.

I used Clé de Peau Concealer in Honey to further correct any imperfections, applying it with a precise brush.

    Blush Application

Skipping the powder for now, I decided to test the blushes directly on the liquid base. I started with Chanel’s Light Coral Blush. Quickly, I realized my brows looked fuller than I intended, so I brushed through them gently.

I then applied a bit of Chantecaille’s Camouflage Silo in shade L2 for a refined touch to my makeup. To finalize the eyes, I used Trench for cancellation of redness.

Now, let's dive into the blush comparison: Rose Radiante versus Beige Éclatant.

    • Beige Éclatant is lovely but was subtle during my initial test, which led me to believe perhaps other shades might be more vibrant.

    • Rose Radiante, however, is easier to layer and provides a more intense pop of color.

    Swatching the Blushes

When applying Beige Éclatant, I noticed its creamy texture has a skin-flattering finish–very unlike traditional powder blushes. Using a Sonia G Brush, I primarily stippled it on. The creamy formula means it can cling more to the makeup underneath, so caution with placement is essential.

On the other hand, Rose Radiante delivered a glow that blended into the skin beautifully. This blush proved to be more forgiving in terms of application than its counterpart.

    Final Thoughts

Both blushes have remarkable finishes, contributing to that smooth and second-skin appearance. However, I found that because Rose Radiante offers a tad more intensity, you must be careful of application to avoid overly concentrated spots.

In the end, I think layering the two shades can create a stunning effect. I plan to try both without makeup too, as I wonder if they’ll shine in a more minimal application.
